All the challenges facing the legal sector today are systemic and entrenched. To solve them, we have to make a radical commitment to accomplish what we once believed impossible.
I'm in 100%. I would like to revamp legal education from the ground up so that we are actually teaching students how to think and practice in the 21st century. Today's legal curriculum is more suited to a PhD program (and probably one from 50 years ago). That track could exist for some, but my students want to use their law degree in the real world and I would like to help them get there!
Hi Jordan, all are welcome on board www.AskLegalAngels.org. Let’s throw a gazillion online Legal Parties to nurture millions of lawyers and break down barriers to justice. If you have capacity, I’d really appreciate your insights on developing the initiative too. Thank you!
Thank you for this Jordan. We lack and need “big thinking” in the justice system. There are so many “silos” in the system - dozens of courts, law societies, legal organizations, law schools, etc. that it’s next to impossible to get major reform done. I’m ready to help.
I'm in!! What an inspiring piece. Let's start by abolishing the idea that 'every case is different' and that the lawyer is the only product of value. Let's look for ways to standardise everyday legal problems and provide a process for resolving them that makes more sense to the people experiencing them. Let's leverage the wisdom and insight of an experienced lawyer by making it part of a problem solving product.
As you so aptly point out, the problems can be solved -- but those with the power to do so find it quite difficult. It starts by each #LawLander changing what they control, their own domain, their own teams.

I'm in. Wholeheartedly.
